Auratops 1 and Auratops 2 are offered together in our 4 day intense training workshop. In this class you will walk through the Aurastone installation system from A to Z creating sample pieces that will showcase your new knowledge and skills. From Travertine to onyx, granite, spun copper, embedded fossils, these surfaces are so realistic and practical for today's market! This class teaches you how to give your clients beautiful options for their solid counter surfaces without removing them! Aurastone is being featured as a counter top solution, but can be used on furniture, floors, outdoor pool decks and patios as well as wall surfaces and mixed media art pieces. We will be incorporating real mica chips, powders and pigments, natural elements, recycled glass to create awesome surfaces from the simple and elegant to the stunning! We will discuss marketing tips and a pricing as well as other practical information. This class alone is a business in itself! and a valuable tool to add to your arsenal of finishes. The deep neutral of chocolate brown is adding spark to the traditional neutral color choices typically requested by clients. This three day curriculum explores the mouthwatering possibilities of caramels, cocoas, white chocolates, and espressos and will add finishes to your portfolio that will leave your clients asking for seconds.

Create depth and shading that are impossible with stencils; learn the basic tricks used by master artisans to convey realistic looking ornamentation. Other Classes - Cabinetry

As a decorative artisan, there is an increasing demand for cabinetry finishing. Learn the latest modern techniques to increase your service offering by finishing cabinets, medallions, and trim. The emphasis of this training is on today’s “sellable” finishes. What sells and how to sell it. In this workshop you will expand your finishing business into the aggressively growing custom cabinetry market. This intensive workshop prepares students for larger scale projects such as kitchen, master bath, and office cabinetry. Practical comprehensive information on each finish selection, surface preparation, project management, bidding, and installation is provided. Students will work with a variety of Modern Masters materials. Featured techniques include mixing custom glazes and Stains, adapting textures to wood surfaces, and using texture to create unique customs pieces for your clientele. You will leave this class with a variety of unique trim, medallion, and drawer samples. Students will receive a detailed reference and sample notebook.
